Landscape and Nature Quilted Fabric Postcard Art and Magnets
Quilted postcards.
Really? How cool is that?
As most people know that have read this blog for a while, I have a special fondness for textile arts such as sewing, knitting, crocheting and embroidery for example. These are all skills that I greatly admire but personally have absolutely no talent at.
When I came across today's shop, I was instantly intrigued and after a little exploring, I knew I had to share Linda's beautiful artwork with all my readers.
SewUpscale on Etsy is a little shop ran by Linda Johnson that is filled with quilted postcards. Little postcard sized pieces of quilted artistry in the form of lovely landscapes and other nature prints put to life through fabric and stitch.
Linda specializes in unique landscapes and nature visages and her shop has a variety of different and unique pieces to browse through from mountain vistas to night skies, ocean views and more.
This type of artwork is labor intensive with each piece and color individually cut out and pieced together through quilting methods then quilted. Linda uses a variety of types of fabric in order to give the pieces texture and depth and the thread, as well, adds its own individual touches throughout each piece.
These postcards can be sent in the mail and when received the postcard can then be framed as artwork and kept forever. These wonderfully artistic pieces can be used to bring a smile or tell someone you care as well as used as a tag for a gift or many other ideas and creative possibilities. And, Linda also accepts custom orders! That means you could have one made up special just for a loved one or for artwork for your own wall.
YOU CAN CLICK ON THE PICTURE ABOVE TO VISIT SEWUPSCALE ON ETSY AND TAKE A LOOK AROUND OR, IF YOU PREFER, YOU CAN CLICK RIGHT HERE!
You can also explore Linda's creative crafts further at her Sew Upscale blog, or if you like you can stop by and visit her on Facebook or Twitter!

Surrealism and Gothic Artwork by Tanya Mayers
Sweet little lips and great big eyes.
That is a resounding theme of the artwork in today's featured shop. A shop filled with macabre artwork, dark themes, Gothic art and overflowing with surrealism galore.
Tanya Mayers, the artist behind all the wonderful and dark pieces featured in today's shop is a very talented self-taught artist in the UK who started out sketching at a young age and has progressed to the remarkable pieces you can now find in her shop, Harriet's Imagination on Etsy.
The artist gets inspiration from her art from a variety of sources. These include fairy-tales, books, dolls and, most especially, her grandparents! Her grandfather's patience in teaching her the fundamentals of art as well as her grandma Harriet's story telling combined to create the amazing artist you see featured here today.
I encourage you to stop by and take a browse through the wonderful and imaginative pieces offered in her Harriet's Imagination shop on Etsy as well as her second shop, Harriet's Art on Etsy as well!
YOU CAN CLICK ON THE PICTURE ABOVE TO VISIT HARRIETSIMAGINATION ON ETSY AND TAKE A LOOK AROUND OR, IF YOU PREFER, YOU CAN CLICK RIGHT HERE.
You can also visit Tanya Mayers on her Harriet's Imagination webpage!

Recycled Eco-Friendly Jewelry and Handmade Paper Jewelry
Handmade eco-friendly recycled jewelry made from paper, clay, hemp and yarn is what today's feature shop is all about!
HippieKingdom on Etsy is filled with fun, colorful and creative artisan creations from paper jewelry to jewelry made of yarn and hemp and even from porcelain and found objects that have been incorporated into new and interesting designs.
The shop itself has a bright and happy feel to it, with lots of colorful pictures and unique ideas with intricate and beautiful designs.
I'm especially fond of the earrings shown in the picture for this post, not to mention their Rustic Treasure Necklace and Rainbow Earrings. And that's just what I found to love on the first page of their shop!
Devi Chand is the artisan behind all these wonderful creations and the designs come all the way from India to be shared with us all.
India is a land filled with color and festivals throughout the year and this love of fun and color is portrayed in every piece of jewelry in this shop. Devi is proud to make jewelry that not just looks happy but passes on that happiness to each and every recipient as well.
You'll love visiting Devi's shop and perusing through all the creative designs you'll find there. It's a stop you won't be sorry to make and, if you're like me, you're sure to stop by again and again just to see what new and creative things show up there!
YOU CAN CLICK ON THE PICTURE ABOVE TO VISIT HIPPIEKINGDOM ON ETSY AND TAKE A LOOK AROUND OR, IF YOU PREFER, YOU CAN CLICK RIGHT HERE!
You can also stop by and visit Devi on the Hippie Kingdom Facebook page, or sign up for the monthly newsletter to learn about new projects and learn about special mailing-list discounts!

Goddess Blends, Unique Bath Salts and Essential Oil Blends
In ancient times, sweet smelling plant oils were respected more for both their medicinal and healing properties than for their scents. Essential Oils are often referred to as "Mankind's First Medicine".
I've always been fascinated with this holistic type of medicine and have done a good deal of study in aromatherapy over the years. Not as much as Lilly DelValle from AncientOils on Etsy, though.
Lilly DelValle enjoys working with essential oils so much she's made an academic career out of it and even has a degree in metaphysics as well as several certifications in holistic energy healing. Aromatherapy is one of these healing techniques which is prominent in her shop, Ancient Oils on Etsy.
Aromatherapy is the inhalation of plant oils, called essential oils, for improved physical, mental, and emotional well-being.
Essential oils are the pure essence of the plant that is collected through a number of methods to obtain the strongest oil possible from the plant.
These essential oils are often referred to as nature's living energy and can provide both psychological and physical benefits when used correctly as part of holistic healing methods or simply incorporated into everyday life.
Lilly DelValle carries a variety of therapeutic grade essential oils in her shop as well as unique blends created by her with a focus on holistic healing and spiritual connectivity. She carries not just essential oils and their blends but also bath salts, goats milk soap and a variety of other items from gift sets to mud masks and more.
YOU CAN CLICK ON THE PICTURE ABOVE TO VISIT ANCIENTOILS ON ETSY AND TAKE A LOOK AROUND OR, IF YOU PREFER, YOU CAN CLICK RIGHT HERE.
You can also visit Lilly DelValle on her Living Vibrations blog to learn more about holistic healing or stop by and say hi on Facebook!
