Leathercraft from Paris by Chic Leather on Etsy
It's not very often that I jones for handbags and purses. Mostly, it's because I have a habit of leaving them behind. I usually try to keep what I need narrowed down to what I can tuck in a pocket or two because if there's anything I actually have to carry in my hands, there's a good chance I'll set it down and walk away, forgetting about it entirely until it's too late.
Sometimes, though, I run across a purse or bag that kicks up that "oooh! I want!" instinct in me and I have to fight the urge to buy, simply because I know the way I am with such things. The bag pictured here in this post was one of those.
This gorgeous bag is one of many different styles offered at Chic Leather on Etsy.
Chic Leather is ran by a couple of master leather craftsmen in their 30's who specialize in organic leather goods. On their profile they make the promise that through experience, they can manufacture any design of bag with great precision and detail to meet the most demanding (and discerning) of customers.
If you are looking for the perfect bag, I definitely suggest stopping by their shop and taking a look around! You won't be disappointed.

Artisan Crafts and Communing with Nature - Moon Sky Woodworks
Woodworkers, in my opinion, are miraculous and a very special breed of artisan. They are a type of artisan that works with nature in a very real sense and I imagine that in order to work so closely with nature to create graceful beauty they must "tune in" to the wood they are working with and into nature as a whole in a way that most artisan crafts can't even come close to.
Today I would like to introduce you to Moon Sky Woodworks on Etsy. A shop ran by Nathan, whose talented hands craft a variety of beautiful woodwork items from pens to wine stoppers, pill boxes and so much more. His hand turned works are exquisite and he has a wide variety of them to share.
Nathan lives in a small, sleepy town in Maine and he draws his inspiration from the sense of simpler times he gets from the woods around his home. He tries to impart that sense into his work and designs, creating a wonderful variety of simple, elegant pieces in the process.
TO VISIT NATHAN'S MOON SKY WOODWORKS SHOP ON ETSY YOU CAN CLICK THE PICTURE ABOVE OR, IF YOU'D RATHER, CLICK RIGHT HERE!
You might also enjoy visiting Nathan's wife's jewelry shop, Noble Gnome on Etsy, as well!

Autumn is Just Around the Corner - Bundle Up with Nevita
Autumn is almost here and cooler weather is on the way!
I'm so excited. As much as I enjoy summer, I'm always excited for when the cooler weather starts to roll in. I think Autumn is my favorite time of year, although not just for the weather, but that's a big part of it.
With the weather turning, it's time to start thinking about what we can do (and wear) to stay warm, and one of my favorites in this department is knitted goodies and scarves. In Autumn, it looks terrific to add these pieces to your everyday wardrobe. And in winter, they fit right in with those bulky warm coats and weather boots as well.
This winter, I'll be heading up to visit the "Great White North" for a bit, and when I saw the scarves pictured on Nevita's shop on Etsy, I instantly felt the urge to start shopping! I especially like the scarf pictured here in this post, with its warm colors and super-soft look, it would be sure to become one of my favorites for the season.
Nevita has a ton of beautiful scarves in her shop though, and not just scarves either. She also sells knit shrugs and boleros, cowls, fingerless gloves and hats, light weight scarves, scarf necklaces and lots more to browse through. I guarantee if you like knits you won't want to miss this shop and you'll love the variety that Nevita has to offer.
