Embroidery for Baby, Mama, Home and more

In my family, there's a long line of women who had great talent at embroidery, sewing and other needle crafts.

Somehow, this particular talent skipped over me as I can't hold a needle and thread without either making myself bleed or the thread ending up in a hopeless tangle.

This isn't the case for the artisan behind today's shop.

Today's shop is filled with a variety of wonderful embroidery pieces (as well as a wide selection of vintage) that's both cute, cuddle and a joy to browse through. There's even a few blankets, some miscellaneous crafts and even a bit of jewelry. What really caught my eye was a custom piece that was made for one of their customers and I caught a peek at before it sold.

If you like embroidery art or vintage finds, you won't want to miss this wonderful shop, so go take a peek!

Easy, Dreamy and Vital - Clothing you'll fall in Love with

Just recently, I had a discussion with a friend who asked me a question that I wasn't exactly sure how to answer. She asked me... "What if your jewelry business really takes off and you become a sudden, overnight success?"

As you might imagine, I had this doe in the headlights look on my face. It's really not anything I've ever considered. Today's artisan has, though.

Shaina is a self-taught designer and seamstress who loves to construct beautiful, unusual and one of a kind pieces and has done so for quite some time via Etsy only to come to the realization, after a while, that the gears of the world of business can easily begin to grind down on one's creative process over time.

As an artisan in business myself, I can confirm that sometimes it's hard to find that balance between business and art where your artistic process can thrive.

During a stint in Paris, Shaina Mote made a decision to set her sights at a small, local and earth sensitive production of easy, dreamy and vital pieces and she opened up a new shop to showcase her new namesake collection.

This shop is filled with beautiful pieces of clothing that fit that goal she decided on to perfection!

The pieces are absolutely beautiful, and each one is showcased to perfection in a collection of photographs that fit the theme with breathtaking vision

Southern Exposures - Snapshots In and Around Memphis

I first "met" today's artist on Twitter. Actually.... I very first met her when she featured one of my pieces in a treasury collage on Etsy but I first started talking to her on Twitter. And you can't imagine the size of my smile when I took a look in her shop for the first time!

Jennifer Dickerson's shop is filled with a gallery of beautiful photographs and prints and I have to tell you, I'm a huge fan of her flower photography in particular! It's some of the best I've ever seen. Clear, crisp and just absolutely beautiful.

The other day, she was featured on the front page of Etsy with the picture I used in this post. It's one of my favorites in her shop. The picture is just so bright and vibrant that when I see it I can't help but smile. To me, it's a beautiful celebration of spring's first steps towards summer, bursting with color and cheer.

Jennifer Dickerson's photography is often cheerful, mysterious, mystical and romantic, portraying a wide variety emotional themes through her portrayal of nature with an artist's eye. You won't want to miss a single one of her prints, so be sure to stop by and check her out!

Whimsical Handmade Jewelry

I absolutely love today's shop. As a jewelry designer, I'm also a major fan of jewelry shopping and I love it when I can come across a shop where the designer's style is so different than my own and yet still appeals to me right to the quick.

That's today's shop!

Rachel Sudlow Jewelry is filled with wonderful, beautiful delicate pieces that are both unique and lovely all at the same time.

I'm a particular fan of the little sweet pea necklaces she makes.

They're so adorable!

She offers them in a combination of choices from one pea in a pod, which speaks to me of independent uniqueness, to the comradeship of two, three or four peas in a pod. Some even come with little charms attached with preprinted or personalized sayings!

I'm also intrigued by the jewelry in her shop where she's created unique pieces from bowled coins. These are just remarkable and I've never seen anything like them before!

Rachel offers a wonderful selection, and the two I've mentioned here in this article don't even come close to doing justice to her shop.

Whether you're looking for rings, piercings, necklaces or any number of unique or traditional pieces, you won't want to miss out on this artist's beautiful work.

Thank Heaven for Little Girls - TuTus, Accessories and more

I've become a fast fan of tutus. Shhh. Don't tell anybody.

I did the whole ballet thing as a child, and I have to admit, in adolescence, I swore off tutus for life. Really? I swore off all frilly things in general.

So you can imagine my surprise when a couple of years ago, out of a blue, I suddenly became drawn to pretty, frilly girly pieces again! It came out of the blue. It started with a penchant for goth style that strayed into splashes of pink and other dramatic additions and has progressed... now, into a full blow appreciation for Tutus!!

Yep. Tutus!

That's how I came to decide that I love today's shop. Not only are they filled with some very cute and adorable little girl tutus, but they specialize in infusing a love of art and color into the clothing they offer in their shop, which includes not just tutus but also a Mommy and Me selection, pretty little headbands and hair bows, wings, dresses and much more.

This mother and daughter design team provides an ever-evolving selection of stylish printed and handmade apparel and accessories you're sure to enjoy browsing through.

Wedding Signs, Home Decore and More

I love signage, I'm not sure why but I can spend hours in a store browsing through all those little kitch and cute signs with the different sayings and designs.

In fact, I did just that in today's feature shop.

Signs By Diane is filled with beautiful "shabby" design signs for weddings, cottage style, home decor or business signage.

Personalized and custom signs are a specialty,
in fact, and Diane loves creating handmade handcrafted wooden shabby chic signs and designs for every occasion or use you're sure to want them for.

You can choose your colors, phrases and even the style of fonts, too. She loves working with brides, especially, and is contact friendly as well as extremely flexible to work with.

I'm actually considering commissioning her for a bit of signage myself, because I've been searching for a specific saying on a little sign for quite some time without success and her items are so beautiful that I'm sure she could do the piece perfectly for me! In fact, I'm positive of it. I'd have to say that Somerset Home magazine would agree too (if you haven't picked up this magazine before, you really should)... she's being featured with them in August!

Diane's signs are all handcrafted and cover several styles from shabby cottage chic, Paris apartment, beach cottage and vintage. Although her signs are new, she takes great deal of care to give them that old vintage look that you're sure to love.

Modern Art for Every Home... and COLOR!

Yep. I love color. And it was no more evident than when I first ran across today's feature artist. Because other than the fact that I also love trees? It was the vibrancy and color in today's shop that first caught my attention and kept it captive.

Today's feature is about the HJM Art Gallery on Etsy, which is filled with a beautiful collection of wonderful, colorful artwork pieces that are sure to make you smile just as they did me. Especially if you, too, are a fan of color and the grace of nature, trees and swirls.

There's something intriguing about organized chaos, and that's what I came away with from the pieces of artwork in this shop.

The artist, Helen Janow Miqueo, is a relentless perfectionist and romantic that specializes in beautiful, affordable original modern acrylic paintings and Giclee art prints... and that's what's offers in her shop! She even offers the option of commissioning custom pieces that can be made to fit just what you want and need to brighten up your own space or give as a gift for someone else.

Her artwork is truly unique, as is her method for creating that art which you can explore on her shop's artist profile! Helen is a truly inspiring artist who's both creative and passionate about her work, and it shows in every piece she has on display.
